Can I directly upgrade my PSP firmware to 5.00M33?

Do you think that PSP users with firmware 1.50 should upgrade to 2.50 firmware?

• Since PSPs (Playstation Portable) with firmware 1.50 can use homebrew games/applications, such as using a PSP as a wireless remote control for Phillips & SONY TVs, or as a wireless controller for a PS2. Do you think that people you stick with the firmware ((1.50) that you can use these homebrew applications or upgrade to firmware 2.50 which cannot?

  Depends on wht is more dear to you. Some clever programmers have already introduced homebrew on all 2.01+ versions of PSP. The key is Liberty Stories(the GTA game). The thing is that not ALL hombrew works on it. The remote control even less(ie.: not at all, I tried)The bright side of versions 2.5 and 2.6(which I proudly own, even though homebrew would be nice too) is that you can listen to streamed podcasts through the RSS channel. Alson, a new software for your computer lets you stream your own mp3 via the web to your PSP as a podcast. So it's your choice! I opted for podcast as opposed to hombrew because I already have a remote for my TV and equipment. PSPgarden.com is a really good site for this kind of stuff.
