Is Child Modeling Legal?

Has your child ever been approached by a modeling agent in public?

  • Just today, some guy who says he's from a modeling agency approached me & my 13 year old daughter and asked if she would like to model. This is the second time this has happened. We live in a very big city. I am beyond pissed off. My daughter, luckily is sort of a tomboy and doesn't want to model. Has your child ever been approached with these sort of offers? How did you feel about it? How did your child feel about it? Should I be feeling this pissed off?

    Well I myself have been approached but I'm 18 & was annoyed because i used to model when i was younger & was self harming i developed an eating disorder because i was told 110lbs was too fat for 5'8 & ended up getting to 98lbs then my mom pulled me out of it for my health now i've never been happier.

Oh my God! That's great! Why are you pissed? You're daughter probably feels great about herself right now. That happened to me once before....... my mom said no, and it ruined the next 4 years of my life. Let her try it. It might be fun.....

i am a teen and some random people have come up to me infront of my parents and asked if i wanted to model i refused cuz i wasn't really that kind of girl but i felt my self esteem rising i mean i think your daughter liked being asked this cuz its a total compliment!

I'm not old enough to have a child yet, but when I was a baby I won a crawling contest and I got several offers to be a baby model. I'm sure my parents were creeped out by it.
