Can someone name a list of major fashion magazines.?

First off: No one can tell you what is the secret to "becoming the next big thing", there is no secret. Its tough, you have to fit a certain look, and be lucky. There are lot of gorgeous girls out there that didn't get that one job that ended up being a huge ad campaign and get no where. Knowing the magazines will do you no good... well not true, but you wont be contacting them for work. If you are just starting out try getting some TFP work (trade for print) so you can get a portfolio. Also look for casting calls on modelmayhem.com or any of the other modeling sites. Then when you feel you have something decent to show, join an agency. You aren't gonna get very far at the beginning without a large agency backing you. Those magazines don't look for the girls, they go to an photographer with the look, he goes to the agency, tells them "I want this hair, this tall, ect" and they show him some samples or have a call for a few girls and then he chooses. Know you magazines so you dont sound like an idiot, learn major designers so you dont piss anyone off, but get an agency if you want to work.
