What do magazine editors do?

Where are the editors and contributors in a magazine located on the magazine?

  • We have to make our own magazine for english class and one of the things he requested we put on our cover page is the editors and contributors. Since i made the whole magazine would I just put myself as the editor and contributor? Or do i have to put something completely different? I dont know what he is requesting.

  • Answer:

    The masthead (where all the editors, etc. are listed) goes after the table of contents. The contributors page(s) follows after.

Hi,normally this is called credits.This can be found anywhere in the magazine...you can use half a page...it is a way of letting people know who worked on the magazine( like at the end of movies).You put the names of editors,contributors,photographers,etc.H… a look in any magazine and it might help.Good luck,hope this helps :)

It is different for every magazine but it us usually in very small print at the bottom of the page either on the 1st or second page.
