How can you spoof a magazine?

If i make a exact replica of a magazine cover, will i get messed w/ copyright law?

  • its not spoof but i made a replica of a magazine but change the person into another person on the cover, will i get trouble w/ copyrigth laws?

  • Answer:

Novelty stores do it all the time. Time's Man of the Year can be a picture of your dad for his birthday. There might be a slight problem if you sell the cover or make money from it in any way. The companies that do the "fake" covers buy a license. If it's just for fun, no problem.
