Is Readers Digest as popular as it used to be?

Has anyone here ever submitted a story to the readers digest?

  • Was your story used? Is it really hard to get your story used for the readers digest? I submitted 2 stories one for "As Kids see it" and the other "Lifes like that." I don't know if they will be used or not. I hope so because I could use the money. What other things did you have to through before they printed your story?

They used my story in general terms, many months later. It was never acknowledged to me.

I did years ago and never received a response from them. If you really would like to submit articles for $$, try an internet search there are many more magazines that pay for those type of write-ups. I believe Redbook does, but am uncertain. I would go to a book store or library and flip through some, reading the small print. They shouldn't be too hard to find.
