  • I have a magazine I send to my friends and my friends friends and my family I was wondering, to keep the readers I have excited about my newspaper/magazine, what makes a magazine exciting? and what makes you like a certain magazine?

    If there isn't a bazillion advertisements - honestly, some magazines cost $10 and the first 50 pages and the last 50 pages are pure advertising, then there's an ad on every second page as well in between. Actually finding something to read is almost impossible.

well, for one thing, the way it's laid out. for example, NYLON magazine has a really great layout where they use neon colors and their graphics are great, and it's presented in a way that's appealing to the eye. try using them as a reference.

I agree with the person above about Nylon mag. So good graphics, but also, clever titles of articles and quality content.

i agree with the person above me! neon colors!!! and i like reading the magazines to do the quizes and read the horoscopes :] im just a geek like that :]] hey that reminds me.. i have to look up my horoscope! today
