Is Readers Digest as popular as it used to be?

Reader's Digest SWEEPSTAKE Cash Prize Draw..?

  • I am a member of the popular Reader's Digest magazine. And I received this parcel, that I could be a winner of Rs 2,20,00,000/-.. and there is lots of more confusing data. To enter, I should just reply them and send a booklet (Which they call passport), and wait till 1st of feb next year. I need not do anything to enter the draw, but just mail them back the booklet they have sent. They also tell me to buy a Book priced at Rs 999/- and get a free butterfly book mark for free. I have decided not to order this book.. There is also a key bearing a number, which matches with a Toyota Innova car, printed in a phamphlet, given by them.. To enter this draw, I just need to send back the key, and the booklet and wait.. I have seen that all the seals and logos belong to Readers Digest company, and no Hoax is intended (I need not send any money, if I don't want the book, but still be eligible for the draw).. But WHAT'S HAPPENING?? Has the Reader's Digest sunk so LOW?.. tell me what you think

    oh yes..its damn confusing.....i too received the book by mistake because i had stuck the thank u stamps.only if u buy some book then u'll be eleigible to go for those cars' draw.....when i got the book unwillingly i immediately sent an email to the concerned person n told them that it was damn confusing.thankfully,they asked me to parcel the book back which i did.my best advice is don't go into all this ...it is very confusing...if u dont pay for the books(1000 up the price shall be)they can even file a case agnst u.best,not to send anything........

This is a marketing tactic that readers digest has been doing for some years. They also publish the photo graphs of the winners. and their addresses in the RD issues so itcan be true you can send your details and wait stating clearly that you dont want to buy the books. maybe next year you may win a big prize
