Is is weird that I like avenged sevenfold and Im 11?

  • Okay so ever since I was like, 9 I never liked any of the girly stuff and I really like screamo and my favorite band was avenged sevenfold, I enjoy dressing goth but this one girl is like its weird you should listen to justin beiber and the Disney star (Btw I think justin beiber is a fag lol) But is it weird that avenged sevenfold is my favorite band, I like to dress goth and I like screamo?

    uhhhh, i use to be like that then i realized that was pretty fake so i got my own ways to talk and dress and i listen to alot of diff music, mainly rap. Listen to Plies, runnin my momma crazy, youl fall in love =]

IMO It's not weird at all. It's your life and you can listen or dress-up any way you like. Age or genre doesn't matter. I am an a7x fan myself and their music rocks. Rock on. ;)

nope, you cant help it if you prefer a certain genre over another. The important thing is to just be yourself.

Of course not. If it's what you like, go for it! lol. I love Avenged and I shop at Hot Topic, but I also like Lady Gaga and shop at rue21. What ever you choose is up to you, don't let the haters stop you in your tracks! :)

No, it's not weird at all. I was the same way when I was 11 back in the late nineties (I'm almost 23 now) and I didn't like girly stuff either. I didn't listen to the pop artists that were out when I was a kid, like Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears. I listened to various rock/nu-metal bands (Orgy was my favorite band then) when I was your age. Now as an adult, my music taste is a bit different and I listen to goth, industrial, and horrorpunk mostly, but I still do not listen to pop music and never did, and I think I grew up just fine. So yeah, it's not weird, it's just your taste in things.
