How can you start your own community magazine?

If one say i would like to start my own magazine.... what major should i choose?

• Alright, so i already have some ideas for this magazine i want to start. Obviously i want to learn the ins and outs of the business before i go all gungho on this *****. So before you start tearing into me about how i know nothing about what im getting into and blah blah blah... trust me, i already know. And i want to learn everything i can and be the best i can at it. I am willing to learn from where ever i can, and am actively looking for internships in the industry. After changing my major several times, i KNOW what i want to do this time, and im gathering the best resources i can to help make this dream come true in the future. I am going to sign up for classes tomorrow and i would like to know what major would best help me. Yes, i could ask academic advisors, but i want to hear from people who are actually in this business... not some shmo that works at a community college (they have wronged me before!) really any other advise or a push in a good direction is appreciated.

  I'm a journalism major, and I recommend you study journalism or at least general communications so can pick up the basics of how to write articles, put together a good layout, libel issues, etc. You can pick up the business part later, and it's more important you pick up the basics of putting together a good publication first.
