What are some popular Brazilian women's magazines?

Do you agree that womens magazines cater to what a man wants?

• Many magazines such as glamour and seventeen not so much allure or vouge i noticed cater to men. They claim to preach for feminism yet they tell women to wear sexy clothes, makeup and hair styles for men. They give them sex tricks on oral to please a man and etc. Am i wrong? If they were truely feminist they would not be so keen as to provide tips to degrade women

  Yes, I agree, but it is what sells, and the editors of these magazines have shareholders to answer to. It is human nature for females to want to look pretty, but the Western consumer cultures have really blown that out of the water. For instance, while the 'figure 8' is a cultural universal in what is considered beautiful (because it conveys fertile viability), thinness and large breasts are NOT cultural universals. In fact, only the Western cultures fancy waif-like thinness and large breasts--other cultures view these as conditions of illness or disfigurement. Most of the images in magazines are Photoshopped and do not reflect the possibilities of real life. I'd like to see more articles on healthy eating, portion control, exercise and ways to achieve natural health and beauty in a way that is responsible and healthy.
