How do you become a colomnist in a magazine??

• so i'm 16 years old, and i love writing. i mostly love writing about life experiences. but anyways, how does one so young become a colomnist in a magazine. for example: seventeen magazine (thats just an example!!!!!!!!!) thanks =)

  Much of the writing for Seventeen is "in house", i.e. they have staff writers who do the columns. The staff are usually in their mid 20s early 30s. But you could look into local newspapers that have youth sections. See below for a sample
