What size of paper should one use for a magazine?

Yes it is certainly possible to use A3 paper then fold it in half and the magazine would look a lot more professional. But you would need an A3 printer (or at least an A3 photocopier) to be able to do it. Also, try and get one of those extended staplers for A3 paper or else you will end up squishing the magazine trying to get the staple in! Alternatively, make an A5 magazine by folding A4 paper in half. Edit: Sorry - did you mean you actually only wanted a two page magazine? If so then ignore the bit about finding a stapler! A3 paper is exactly twice the size of A4. So folding a piece of A3 in half would work perfectly to give you a two-page A4 magazine. Can't help about number of pixels I'm afraid - rather depends what quality your pictures are I think.

Use whichever size you like, a zine can be any size, even super tiny. I've found that a card stock cover and 10 sheets of paper folded in half make a 40 page booklet, very substantial in size. Check over on http://wemakezines.ning.com/ in their forum section, the discussions get pretty in depth.

I believe the A2 would be better to handle when folded...so.. 594 x 420 mm or..23.4 x 16.5 in, is full size then folded, would be OK..
