How can I get a magazine to publish my poem?

  • I plan to be an author someday(I'm 12) and I wrote a fairly long poem, I think it's really good and I think I want to contact a magazine I know of and ask them to put it in there, maybe to get my work out there for the first time. How do I contact them? And what do I say?

They have thier mailing adress in thier so write to them and tell them your age and tell them your dream to be an author and why your sending this in and ask them if they could maybe put it on a page wit your name and age. It should get peoples attention and maybe even a publisher's attention.
