How do I find local bands?

If I wanted to take pictures of bands as a odd job how would I find bands to take pictures of?

  You have to start off at the bottom. Go to local gigs and festivals and take photos. Get yourself a website and give the link to the bands, eventually, if your pictures are good, your name will get around and you'll get more work. It's not difficult to get into this kind of photography you just have to be prepared to start at the bottom. Get as much experience as you can, good luck! it's a great job to have.
