How hard would it be to start my own magazine?

How to start my own Magazine? What and whodo I need?

• Im starting my own magazine. Tell me what and who I need ( writers, illustrators, etc ) to get this STARTED. Thank you sooooo much for your info. Please dont tell me sponsors and things like that because thats goes without saying. Thats later down the line. Right now i just wanna get info on how to get the magazine complete, so I'll have something to present.

  I run a youth magazine and I edit a bridal magazine so I can share a thing or two. It's exciting that you want to start a magazine but you should know that running a magazine is hard work so you need to be committed and be prepared to see it through. There are a few things you need: you need to have a good plan, why do you want to start a magazine? What niche will it fill in the market? Have you done your research? Do you know that people actually want this magazine? To put a team together, you need writers, an editor, a designer, subs, proofreaders, web designer etc but if you're on a low budget, you can get away with using freelancers and just having one or two staff members. A good resource is a book by Cheryl Wood titled Starting & Running a Successful Newsletter or Magazine. I bought this book and found it quite useful so you may too. All the best.
