What would be better, the IB program or a magnet?

• So first off I don't want to do the ib programs, but my parents are forcing me to do it, today I got the reply letter saying I didn't make it (thank god) but it also said I can try again in 9th grade. So now I have a few reasons of why I don't want to do ib So I should start by saying IB is NOT me. I've always been a really smart kid, but also lazy, recently I started getting better keeping my grades up to a 3.0, even though I know the stuff I don't do it. So I don't think IB is for me. Ive always been the goofy kid in class. Always one of the class clowns, the one working on the borderline. The one with the potential but doesn't try. I like to have spare time, I like having fun, hanging out, daily things pretty much. And yes I'm lazy when it comes to work. But my teachers tend to like me so things Usually turn out well. In my opinion not to be rude, IB is bullshit. All this extra work for no reason. In IB if you don't pass the senior years end of year IB test thingy, you don't even get your IB diploma. So 4 years extra work for no reason? No thanks. I feel as if AP is better for me, I don't want to be stuck with the kids that aren't like me, not saying IB students are weird it's just I would rather be with people like me. Also I think being 3.0 in AP is better than 2.0 in IB, correct me if I'm wrong. My parents think IB is better for scholarships but in ap you can still get them, seeing how I would do better in ap. I forgot what I was gonna say so I'll end it here and just add details as I go on

  Since you think you'll do better in ap go to ap! If you don't think ib is for you then don't go! Do what'll give you less stress and a better college opportunity!
