Why don't we use E-Prime more?

Why is it that school dont use laptops instead of all the school supplies?

• why is it that school don't use laptops instead of all the school supplies? an average laptop is the same price or less then a year or to years of school supplies and a laptop can last a lot more, you don't use as much paper and ink, and its cheaper than lets say an average of 3 to 5 years of school supplies, and the school itself can set one specific laptop model for school use... though it would have to be properly identified, and for math and stuff you can use a notebook and other classes that require a notebook or other method, you can even store full books into a laptop, and in respect of viruses, you simply choose a laptop without Wireless and if they get a virus out of school its not the school's fault, and for gaming and other stuff while class that would be a teacher responsibility.. lol but what do you think???? i know some collages use laptop, im talking about high schools, middle schools, and even some primary schools ( 1-6 or 5 grade) please post your opinion thank you

  If the school pays for the laptops, too expensive for their budget. To require student to bring their own, too hard for poorer families. Colleges do not require laptops. They suggest students bring a computer, but provide computer labs with desktops for student use. Incompatibility and virus transmission are also important issues. Even with the same computer, you need to require the same OS, same software, and same updates, to be 100% compatible. Teachers should not have the added burden of preventing gaming in class - they work hard enough already.
