What does accommodations mean on school report card comments?

Bad report card grade ?! (Help!)?

  • I am currently in getting an F in my 8th grade math class. For the past three quarters I have been doing okay, and I was passing. What I really need to know is what will happen if i get an F on my report card?! I know at my school and the county if you get two F's on your report card, you either fail that grade and get held back, or go to summer school. I am so afraid that I am going to get held back, or go to summer school. I Really need anyones help right now! Does anyone know how grades average out?! Please, no negative and mean answers or comments. Quarter One- D. Quarter Two- C. Quarter Three- C. Quarter Four (This Quarter.)- Possible F. Please guys, I REALLY need all of you help!     A=4 B=3 C=2 D=1 F=0 If you have a D: (1+2+2+1)/4=1.5 So probably D. If you have an F: (1+2+2+0)/4=1.25 So probably still a D. You have a possibility of getting a C, depending on your number grades. You even have the possibility of getting an F, if the possible F and the D and 2 Cs are low enough. You're probably going to get a final D, which is still passing. If you get a final F, just go to summer school so you can pass the class. Just don't worry about it.

You have two very clear choices -- summer school or being held back. It's your decision. Stop goofing off in math class and study. Seriously, you have to be really lazy to fail 8th grade math.

Here is how: Because we cannot do math on letters, we associate each letter grade with a number. A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1, F=0. So your grades: D,C,C,F become 1,2,2 & 0. Find the average of 1,2,2 & 0. 1+2+2+0=5 The average is 5 divided by 4 (because there are 4 numbers) The average is 1.25, which converts back to a high D.

hey, as long as you pass, you look like someone who just hate school and wants to get over with it as soon as possible. I'm like that too, cause i hate school, especially high school, but i'm now in college and almost done with it. But if plan to go to college, you better make a better effort, seriously.

the F is probably gonna make you get summer school, but middle school grades don't really count make sure you do good in hs and get help when you need it, 'cause that's when it really starts counting against you

I'm not sure how your school averages grades, but it seems as though it should probably average to be a D this semester, and a D for the whole year as well.

it's by points, in my school you need a total of 5 points to pass the whole year for each class so... F-0 D-1 C-2 B-3 A-4
