How do I catch up in math classes?

Can I Get Ahead In Math, In Homeschool/Virtual School?

  • in elemenrty school, i have been in more advanced classes; since the 5th grade i have mainly been in the classes with the idiots, only because of the electives i chose.so in the 6th grade we took this test to see if we would be in pre-algebra or algebra I. in my test booklet there were some pages missing in the middle & i didn't notice until the end(also we were told not to talk, so i didn't tell me teacher about it), so not only had i not answered about 20 questions, like 10 of my answers were on the wrong questions! even then i was only a few points away from being in algebra I. in the 7th grade (pre-algebra) my teacher only let the kids he liked go on to algebra I; of course though, he didn't like me!i had one of the highest grades in the class, i didn't do some of the home work though so i had a 93% or something like that; most of the other kids had C's, but of course they were ready for the "rigors of algebra" as he put it. so once again, in the 8th grade i was placed in pre-algebra... again! :P ever since then i have had horrible teachers, horrible classmates, & just a horrible time! i basically gave up because there was nothing i could do to be were i needed to be. I asked my mom if she would let me do summer school to catch up, but it would always interfere with vacationing. i am now in the 11th grade & only in algebra 2, when in fact i should be in calculus by now at least. i talked to the principle about it, but he is arrogrant & thinks i am an idiot because i only take one AP class(when actually my iq is probably much higher than his). i have been screwed over by my school, im a figure skater, & i have anemia, so i don't really have a whole lot of free time or energy to devote to more than one AP class at a time right now, so there is a high possiblilty of me being homeschooled next year :D, i've been wanted to be homeschooled since the 5th grade; so when most people think it's sad to be homeschooled for senior year, i think it's great! sorry for rambling but, is there a possibility i can take a bunch of math classes in homeschool?

  • Answer:

If you are home schooled, I would definitely enroll in as many online classes as possible. I take some online courses in addition to regular high school and I find it to be very helpful.

on average those home schooled will test better on college entrance exams. you must choose, and see if it is available to you. some places do not allow you to home school if you ever went to a public school. also, Obama just said you cannot get pell grants at college, if you home schooled, so if you want any grants at college do not home school. also you cannot get pell grants if you do drugs, and other bad things. but I was unaware that home school attendance was bad, until Obama said so. i guess Obama was never home schooled.
