What's more important: GPA or reputation?

Whats the differencebetween a gpa and a cumulative gpa?

  • Help I'm confused I'm a teen in high school trying to raise my gpa

  • Answer:

each class has a grade point average. one class. overall you have a grade point average based on all classes you have taken. ALL classes. if you have a class worth 3 credits, and you get a B, you get 3 point per credit of 9 for that class. if that was you only class that time you would have a 9/12 = 3.0 gpa if you took a different class, a different time, and got a class worth 4 credits with a A, then you would have 4 points per credit in that class, or 16 /16 which is a 4.0 cumulative is ALL your classes together: (9+16)/(12+16) = 25/28 = 3.57 (142857...) understand now?

A GPA is the Grade Point Average that you have received in a semester or quarter depending on your school, and the Cumulative GPA is the average of all of those Grades combined in your high school career. For Example: Freshman Year: Class Semester 1 Semester 2 P.E A A Math C C English A A History B B Choir A A Your GPA would be a 3.4 Now your Sophomore Year: Class Semester 1 Semester 2 Geometry A A French B B Speech A A Science A A Choir A A Your GPA would be a 3.8, but your Cumulative is the average of your first two years which would be a 3.6
