I'm super nervous about this huge test tomorow. I can't concentrate on studying. Help!?

Relax and get organized first. The worst thing you can do when studying is go at it witout a gameplan...that will just get you confused. Plan out what you need to study then try to do it in an orderly fashion. Get some good rest and have a good breakfast before school tomorrow. Above all, don't forget that a test is JUST A TEST and no matter what you score it won't ruin your life. I don't even remember taking the Regents test much less what I got on it. Just the best as you can. You can do it!!

Remove yourself from all distractions. Go to a library study room or someplace where all you have to do is study.

Take a break from studying for an hour. Then grab something to eat, put on some music if it soothes you, and start again later. Relax, and good luck!

dont panic about it, if you try and study now nothing will go in and youll be worrying about it all the more, if i was you i would stop trying to study and relax before the test, this will hopefuly calm your nerves. just go over it in the morning. you wont sleep tonight if you study now. relax and good luck.

Get off the internet first of all. Go to a quiet place and relax. Clear your mind and think about what the important key issues are in what you're studying and go over them. Don't study for hours without taking short breaks in between. Get a snack a few times or something like that and then go back to studying.

You need to understand how your brain works. When you get very anxious, your brain switches over to its primal part. This is the section that controls "fight or flight" when you are scared. This part of our brain evolved so that our ancestors could quickly assess danger, such as a bear, and decide if we should run or fight without all of our other knowledge getting in the way. When your brain has switched over to this section, you CAN NOT recall anything you've learned. This is why we sometimes feel like we've forgotten everything as soon as we see the test. It's important to remember that you haven't really forgotten anything, you just need to learn how to switch your brain back over to the part where the answers are stored. Here are a couple of things you can do: -deep breathing -tighten and release different muscle groups -positive "self-talk": "I can do this!", "I know this stuff!", etc. Always keep in mind that you CAN control your brain. Once you learn how to relax, it WILL ALWAYS switch back to the part of your brain where the answers are stored. BEST OF LUCK!!!
