I'll possible to go uk to work and study after 3 years?

Should I study these qualifications? (UK) Please help?

  • Hello everyone, I am 19 years old I am 20 next month and I live in Cambridgeshire which is in England. I have got a mild learning disablity I don't go to college anymore I went for 3 years and I am unemployed. I have never had a paid job, but I have got 18 months of work experience (Voluntary) I have worked at the Co-Op and at Tesco's. I have just recently started as a volunteer at Oxfam, and I have applied to be a voluntary play/youth worker. I know that I will have to pay for these courses but that don't worry me. Can you please tell me what you think honestly? Thank you in advance for all of your help and advice, I am very grateful.

    It's great that you have so much ambition! Look at all those qualifications you want... That's really great, good on you. I would suggest Youth work would be good, as you say you have applied to be a Youth worker. If you want to work with Children, then It'd be good for you to study NVQ's in Youth Work as you would already *hopefully* have your work placement which will help towards getting a paid job after.. If you're a sporty guy, Football coaching would be a good qualification to get too, as this is another way of working with children. You could run the little leagues, and even bring football into the Youth centre as a coach. I'm 20 and Web design is something i am studying at the moment and i love it. I must say it's alot of stress but that's because I really want to do well, I am really pushing myself to study outside of the box so I can get the best grades possible. IT pays VERY well, and this is another reason why I have chosen it as my career path. It really depends on what career you want to have in life, If you know what you want to become, then study the qualifications necessary to get into a paid career.
