How to find new friends online?

How can I find new friends in London?

  • I'm a new graduate and came to UK with my husband. Now I'm looking for a job... But It seems that it is not easy for somebody who studied finance to find a job recently. As I dont work, I have no chance to meet new people.. I have no friends now. I really would like to know how to find new friends. Can you recommend me some ways? Thank you!

    Meetup is very good as somebody else mentioned, try there. Also if you like walking, you can find a local walking group at ramblers.org, they're sociable and you'll get to see parts of the countryside that you might not do otherwise. A group such as Met Walkers or London Strollers are good as they make sure all the walks start from train/tube stations.

Maybe you could even find some groups on Facebook that are about something you're interested in. Volunteering is also a great way to meet new people, and do something good for your community at the same time, check if there's anything like that in your area. Good luck! I know how difficult (and boring!) it can be by yourself in a new city, but I'm sure you'll make friends before you know it!
