Question about the endangered species act.

Endangered species question?

  • My niece needs help with an assignment. The question asks to Outline a case study of how people and an environment are affected by the issue of Endangered animals. Her point is "When animals become endangered or extinct, this could greatly affect the ecosystem. When the species dies, the animals and plants in which the species used to eat, would increase in numbers." Does anyone know statistics that could prove this? Thanks. Kate.

  • Answer:

Don't know any statistics on the subject. I do know that if the bee population keeps falling at it's current rate that the knock on effect through lack of pollination will directly effect human food sources. There is a place in Japan that now use humans to pollinate there fruit trees due to the lack of bees to keep the crop going
