What are some irreducible trinomials?

What's the easiest way to multiply binomials/ trinomials?

  • I have no freaking clue what to do. They stuck me in a class and the first day stuck me on a computer with a bunch of these problems. I don't know what to do. The teacher said FOIL was a bad thing to use because it would get complicated when multiplying bi by tri. AAH! This is the first time I've ever dealt with either of those and I am so confused. Thanks for the help.

  • Answer:

Ok... (x + y + z)(a+b) Just pick one of the polynomials (either a bi or tri) and multiply each one of the terms by each one of the terms on the other polynomial. So that would be... xa + xb + ya +yb +za +zb Sorry, this might not be very clear... math is hard to explain.
