Where can i take a GCSE in Latin outside of school?
-
I am 15 and have always been interested in learning Latin. But my stupid school (that actually calls itself a language school) doesn't teach it so i couldn't take it for GCSE. I was wondering if there was a way to take latin as a GCSE outside of school, i have heard this is possible. Many thanks. x P.S I am in the UK.

Answer:
You could study through the Cambridge website, you'd have to get your school to pay. However, if your goal is to get good at Latin, you'll advance far faster using the Latinum podcast's online audio course - it is free, and if you apply yourself, you will achieve a much higher level of fluency than a GCSE latin student. Use the site in combination with the Tar Heel reader - the beginning grammar on Tar Heel is useful, combined with Latinum, you'll fly with your Latin. http://latinum.mypodcast.com
