How do I find a phone number in the USA if the original phone number is changed?

I live in Delhi, India. I have my relatives living in Chicago,Illinois. I have never contacted them, but I have some how searched there landline numbers through the website whitepages.com. I tried calling them, but got a recorded message stating that the number has been changed. If anyone can help me getting the updated right number I would be really thankful. The details are:- Loveth Joseph-773-381-2391{ this number has the recorded message} and the other number is 772-262-4869 {on this number I couldn't get a single response, no recorded message,nothing at all}.
