How many years does it take to become a Doctor?

How can i become a doctor . iam 30 years old .how many years will it take .iam from commerce background?

    Well depending on if you have a 4 year bachelors degree or not it will vary but saying you don't: 4 years of college (must complete certain requirements such as organic chemistry ect.) then you must do well enough and also take the MCAT Medical eximination test. that basically is the SAT for Med school then once in Med school you will have atleast another 4 years with the last year a resident so i would say it will take you roughly 8-10 years to become a Doctor. 30 isnt too old but with the compition for seats in med school many schools (i gues they cant really say it for discrimination cases but) many will not take older peole for the fact that you may only practice for 20 years whereas they can train a 20something and he can practice alot longer If you want to get into the medical field i would suggest nursing You help people everyday make hella money and its only 2 years for an RN as i understand it good luck!

I don't know whether there is any age restriction or not but to be a doctor you have to do MBBS course. It is a 5 years course. Now a days BHU has announced for its MBBS course and sell form/prospectus for it. You will eligible to do MBBS course after intermediate with science stream. A centralised exam called PMT is to be given for admission on this couse.

It can be done. The number of years it will take is dependent upon your own background in science, and whether you want to continue and become a specialist and even in what specialty you want to take.

no way you should vave passed 10+2 with science as your main sunject. Then there is 4-1/2 yr MBBS. THEN 1YR INTERNSHIP
