What good paying jobs can i get with a high school diploma?

  • hey guys i was wondering what kind of good jobs i can get with a high school diploma?i'm 18 and i don't think id do good in college because i barely made it out of high school. never really go B's or A's i can learn things fast but not just in a school environment...i currently work at a dog kennel and i dont see my career going anywhere there and was thinking about getting my class b or a license but i honestly dont know what i want to do with my life. if a list of good paying jobs i can get with a diploma could be posted that would be awesome... thanks

    If you're dead-set about not going to college, how about a trade school where you could learn to be a plumber, electrician, carpenter, HVAC, masonry, or anything in the construction trades. Then you could always find a job anyplace you lived as people are always needing something installed or repaired. And, once you become good at what you choose, the earning potential is very good.

none that I know of. you can still go to technical school, you don't need high GPA for that. education is a big requirement anymore. are you a good salesman? that is one thing you could do if you have that salesman personality...

U can be a police,fire, ambulance dispatcher all u need is your high school. Some require that u have some customer service experience and they pay about $20 to start to about 30$ an hour.

You might try looking into trade schools--plumbing, locksmith, auto mechanic, carpenter, that kind of thing. All of those are good-paying jobs that don't take a lot of training, that you could get into now. Failing that, any kind of construction job pays well, and you don't generally need much experience. There's always the military, too. I'm not talking just army, air force or navy folks get decent living accomodations and there are a lot of cool jobs there. It's worth looking into, if you find a job they offer that you're sure you'll like. Anything from medic to a desk job, you can find something you like. Air force rarely gets deployed (deployments aren't bad) and the navy... well, it's the navy. Worst comes to worst, you're on a ship a lot. Just an idea. :)
