How to work out Ucas Points?

How do you work out UCAS points?

  • (1) how do i calculate UCAS points? (2) what is SCQF? THANKS :D

  • Answer:

Go to the link below for a table of qualifications and points awarded for each grade. For example, Grade B at GCE A Level is worth 100 UCAS points, and a Scottish Advanced Higher Grade A is worth 130 UCAS points. The SCQF is a way of comparing the wide range of Scottish qualifications. It covers achievements such as those from school, college, university, and work-based qualifications. It does this by giving each qualification a level and a number of credit points. The level of a qualification shows how difficult the learning is. SCQF Level 1 is the least demanding and SCQF Level 12 is the most demanding. The credit points show how much learning is involved in achieving that qualification. Each credit point represents an average of 10 hours of learning. SCQF credit points are not the same as UCAS points.
