In studying LAW what are the best books to be reading before i get to college and university?? : )?

  • Im studying law at college and i am thinking about studying it at university. What are the best books that i should read to help me prepare and educate myself before getting to college? Thank you for your time it is much appreciated.

    I would say read books which reveal what life and people are REALLY all about - great novels like Crime and Punishment, the novels of Dickens, Shakespeare.... literature which lays bare the real motivations of humans, with no white-washing. As a lawyer you will always be trying to figure out people's motivations: why they do the things they do. Reading books that help one to understand these motivations, i think would be splendid preparation!! Also, i think books on the history of law, both in general and in the specific country where they live, would be great for an aspiring lawyer to read: through understanding the past, one gets a much better chance of understanding the present.
