Should I become a Veterinarian?

Can I become a veterinarian without a high school diploma, and just a GED?

  • I want to be a veterinarian, but I dropped out of high school my sophomore year. I want to get my GED. And I want to go to college. I'm just wondering if I could become a veterinarian with just a GED. If not, is there something else that I could become that involves animals with just a GED? My dream job is to work with animals :) Also, do veterinarians have to go to a special college and how many years would I need to go?

no. only having a GED is nto enough to be a licensed Veterinarian. a GED will get you into college, where you can study vet sciences 6-8 years. the only job with animals you can do with a GED is to clean cages and take animals to the "one-way door" at an animal shelter. now, quit being lazy and type in www.google.com and search for "veterinary college"
