Where are nursing schools in Indiana?

Who else thinks nursing schools are overrated?

• I feel that nursing schools are giving out the wrong message to the general population about nursing. They're giving me and other students that notion that anyone can be a nurse and if you want to, all you have to do is take all those classes, get A's in all of them and you'll get into nursing school. Once you're in nursing school, get good grades and you'll be a good nurse. I feel that they're giving everyone the message that you have to be booksmart to be a nurse. I personally feel that being smart isn't the highest quality of being a nurse. I know (and come from a family) of nurses - there are some really smart people who have such a high IQ but are so STUPID when dealing with people in general - some can't handle stressful situations calmly, some can't be empathetic, some can't be hospitable to patients and their families. I feel that these are the kind of nurses we're going to get if admissions choose people based on just acdemics... what do you think?

  I agree there are so many people who work in nursing homes that treat people like crap and nurses who can't even handle their patients.
