Dental school with Nursing Degree?

Is it better to do a degree program for nursing or a nursing school program where you recieve a diploma ?

  • I want to become a registered nurse and the community college near my location offers a degree program in which you recieve an associates degree in nursing and there is also 2 cooperative hospital schools of nursing in which you recieve a diploma in nursing and an associate in science degree

  • Answer:

No matter what anyone says... having a degree is always better than a certificate or diploma. Not that there is anything wrong with the certificate route. I have a few certificates. But now I am working on my Degree, and the fact is, having an Associates Degree means not only are you qualified in what ever major you take, but it also means you have mastered other courses that are valuable in your career choices such as Math, English, etc. Plus, who's to say in three years from now you may want to progress further, meaning going for that Bachelors Degree. If you take the certificate route, ask someone at the school if your courses can be transferred as college credit later incase you do decide to go after that Degree later on. A certificate will get you to a point in your career, but a Degree can take you to that same point and prepare you to go further later! Good luck with what ever you choose!
