What would be a good back up plan?

Going back to college. What should I chose as my degree plan?

• I have worked in the insurance industry for almost 9 years. Quite frankly, I am ready for a change. I dont want to be a sales person. I want to help others. I made some mistakes after high school and basicly got kicked out of college due to my absences. I was a teen mom and divorced at the time. Now I am ready to go back, while being a mom of three, a wife, and I work full time, I need something new. I want to make a difference in this world. I have choosen 4 degrees to chose from. Education, Social Work, Rehabilitation ( as in counseling for people with addictions), or Computer Science. I want education because I would love to be a teacher. I would also like to know what is the best degree if I decide to work with Administration for a school district. I am also interested in social work. I am not sure if this is for social work as far as working for a hospital, health and human services, etc. Rehabilitation is also something that I feel that I cold be able to help others. I have experienced some of the pain with others in these situations and I feel that I could help someone with this as well. What is Computer Science? I read that its a high demand degree? What kind of job can you obtain with that kind of degree? I have been discouraged with family members. They say that its not good to get into education because there are alot of lay offs with the State due to the economy. Also with social work. I am having a hard time choosing a degree plan. I would appreciate any advice I can get. Also I plan to work full time so going to school will be part time. Will it take a long time to get a degree? I also neeed to take remedial classes, which I will pay for but wont get credit on. Thanks for your help.

  Choose computer science because that is a growing field.. good luck!
