Work experience in healthcare settings will probably be more useful to you than college courses. I'm talking voluntary work in hospitals, nursing homes, etc. But if you're looking at college courses, go for something like biology, maths, etc.

To take paramedic you must be an EMT-B and take and pass medical terminology and anatomy and physiology and then paramedic takes about a year.
