Will my school send out my transcript?

When do i have to send my high school transcript?

• i graduated high school last year, and i am taking this year off and going to college next year... i am planning on doing an online application for college, and i know that i am going to have to go back up to my old school and give them the info and junk so they will send the transcript, but when do i do that?!!?! do i go up to school before i fill out the application and then they would send it before i submitted the application so that by the time the college got the application, they would already have the transcript? oorrr do i wait until after i submit the application and THEN i go up to school and have them do it.......? can i wait a couple days in between either of those two? or should i try to do them as close as possible??

  When is the application due at the college? I volunteer at a high school registrar office, and it can take weeks, depending on the size of the senior class, to get transcripts out. Also, will you be needing counselor or teacher recommendations? My advice is to go now and request the transcript! It does not matter if they arrive at the same time, since the college will create a file for you and put stuff in it as it arrives.
