I am getting my ged at a local community college and I want to become a certified nurse midwife I am wondering what schooling you need to become a midwife and If I will be at a disadvantage having my ged and trying to get my cnm??

No. Before you can become a certified nurse midwife, you will need to complete a bachelor of science in nursing. You will also need to have a master's degree in nursing. It is while you are studying for you master's degree that you will take the courses necessary to be a midwife. After you complete your BSN, no one will be concerned about whether you have a GED or a regular high school diploma.
