How many hours for the second degree?

How many credit hours for a bachelor's degree?

  • So I am a little confused. I will be completing my Associate's degree this coming May and I am transferring to a different school to complete my Bachelor's degree, but I can't figure out an approximation as to how many credit hours it takes to just complete the Bachelor's. Again, I don't need an exact number, just a ballpark of a average bachelor's degree minus the average number of credit hours for an associates degree.

  • Answer:

That depends on the college; they all assign credit hours differently. And when you transfer in the courses you took, they will be worth whatever that course would have been worth at your new school, not how many credits your current school gave you for them. In general, you need about 4 classes per semester for 8 semesters to earn a bachelors degree. It will take you at least another 2 years of full-time classes to earn the bachelors. More if you chance majors or not all of your credits transfer.
