How you you calculate GPA?

  • Name says it all, how do you calculate GPA (grade point average?) T-T hey im doing bad in school (1st year in high school)(right now about a 85 student/B,B+) and i REALLY want to be a doctor one day. I read online that all collages ONLY accept people who are going into the medical field MUST have a GPA 3.4 above.

  • Answer:

    find the average of all of ur grades.... like an A is 4 points, B is 3 points, C is 2 points etc... so if u have straight B's right now u would have a 3.0 GPA

your letter grade is worte a different number. I can't remember specifics but I think A= 4.0 A-= 3.7 B+= 3.5 Something weird like that. They take all your grades that represent a number and average it out. So if you have 6 A's and one A- it's whatever 4.0+4.0+4.0+4.0+4.0+4.0+3.7 Divided by seven is(or however many classes you have. :)
