How do I learn about physics?

How can I learn advanced physics before I go to college?

  • I live in the UK, my school doesn't have the correct resources and I don't have the time for home tutoring. Is there anyway I can do online tutoring or any other options. Also I'm looking to do any area of advanced physics really, with a few exclusions.

  • Answer:

You can't just jump into advanced physics. If you don't have the math and physics background for the more advanced material, you won't get anywhere. Start by learning calculus, and then try introductory physics. MIT has a lot of class materials online on the their OpenCourseware site. Start there, and you can look ahead into the more advanced stuff and see what I'm talking about. You're not going to be able to teach yourself much.
