What would be a good objective in general for a resume?

What is a good "objective" to put on a resume?

  • Hi so I am trying to build a resume. i have no working experience but i babysit my nephew cousins and other people kids. i am currently in college and i am majoring in psychology. i need a job sooooo bad so i decided to have a resume because people said its easier to get hired if you have a resume but im stuck at the objective part can someone please help me

  • Answer:

Objectives aren't really used on resumes anymore. It would better if you described your experience and your interest in the position in a cover letter. GCFLearnFree.org has free tutorials on how to write a resume: http://www.gcflearnfree.org/resumewriting It includes instructional text, informational graphics, examples, and even interactives for you to practice what you've learned/actually apply what you've learned. If you need additional help for things like writing a cover letter or how to prepare for an interview, there are tutorials for that as well: http://www.gcflearnfree.org/career Hope it helps and Good Luck!

You're stuck? So don't be! Your objective? Simple! Just put this on your application verbatim: Trying to get out of a mediocre mindset and achieve excellence. Longing for greatness and sick of nothingness.
