How long is a short essay suposed to be?

I was given the wrong essay, but he blames me!!?

  • Ok, so I spent 4 hours on Thursday writing an essay on the causes of WW2. So, it was 4 pages long (I have small writing) and I tried really hard. I found it really hard, and I put ALOT of effort into it. Anyway, so Friday came, I gave it to my teacher, he just looks at it, and yells at me. I asked him what I had done, he told me I had written the wrong essay, the one I was suposed to do was only a small 4 mark question.Anyway, he asked me to stay behind after the lesson. I stayed behind, and he just yelled at me. I told him it wasn't my fault as another teacher had given me the essay question to do (I was ill when he gave it to us) but he told me nobody could be that stupid. Anyway, he refused to mark it, and tore it up in frount of me. It really upset me and made me cry.So over this weekend I have to write the right question. But he was so horrible. I don't see why I should have to do it when I wasn't the one that made the mistake. What do you think?

    u should tell your mom then your mom will contact your principal and then they would have a metting then they would call the teacher down who yelled at u and who told u the wrong essay then u will tell your side of the story and the teacher will tell his side if the story then the principal would tell the teacher u cant yell at a student like that and u cant rip her essay up with out her talking and telling u what happened then the teacher that told u the wrong thing will say i told her to do that essay i thought that was the wright essay and your mom would be wanting to know what happened so its acutrally the teachers faulght when u tell your mom start crying and tell her i just want a good grade and i worked hard on that essay and he ripped it up right in front of my face don't forget to cry in front of the pricapal

He is out of order, he should ashamed of himself as a teacher. I would ask your parents to have a go at him, or if they don't, do it yourself. You don't sound like someone who would argue back to a teacher, which is usually a good thing, but in this case, he deserves a yelling at himself.

this teacher sounds like a real dick. wut i would do is go talk to the principal on my own. then i would get my parents to call , i wouldnt write the essay, and i wouldnt stop at anything to get this teacher in trouble and full credit on the essay.

Oh my gosh. What a complete idiot. He shouldn't be allowed to teach if that is the way he acts. Tell your parents, and first thing tomorrow, go to the headteacher with them and tell him what happened. He will get into trouble and hopefully taught a lesson (excuse the pun)

I would yell back at the teacher. If one of my teachers ever tore the paper in my faces i would just walk out the class. I think the teacher made a bad choice doing that. I think he is the tipe of teacher that does not like any of his students becuase most teacher would just tell you to rewrite it kindly. I think the way the teacher treated you was wrong but even if you did put alot of effort in the wrong question does not mean that you don't have to do the right question.

your teacher's a *****! u shouldnt write it, if i were u, i wouldnt write the new one, i would say, i already wrote a 4 page report im not writing anything else!, and then get ur parents or someone to talk to him, my mom did that once and she scared the **** out of my teacher lol... i dont even ko what she said =]] p.s: dont listen to hack-ace
