I want to become a dental nurse but not sure how to?

I am 15 and want to become a male nurse.. how do i become one?

    At 15, I'd suggest volunteering at a local hospital. My brother is studying to become a nurse and has been volunteering/working at the local hospital since he was 14 and has absolutely loved it. Once you have a high school diploma and are 18 you can legally start working there as a Unit Secretary (or something similar, talk to the Human Resources department to see what you can do). In Junior year of high school start looking at colleges with good nursing programs, many hospitals will help with scholarships as long as you work for them after graduation (guarunteed job after college! Every college grad's dream!). Many hospitals are requiring a Bachelor's degree. Anyways, a college education can only help you in the long run. To become a Registered Nurse (RN), you need some kind of school anyways, whether it's a college degree or a Nursing School Diploma. Also, many nursing programs will love to have a male in their ranks, my brother is one of only two males in his nursing program. Nursing is one of those professions that there will always be a need for, you'll never be wanting for a job.

you cannot just walk in off the street and practice to become a nurse. the requirements to become a nurse are the same for men and women. either 4 yrs-BSN, 2yrs_ADN, or 1/2 yrs-LPN. i do mean college in case you didn't know.

there are a lot of different types of nurses. LVN, RN, Nurse practitioner. Some programs are 2 year and others are 3-4. It will depend where you go to college. You will need to apply to colleges with nursing programs you like (research the colleges on the internet). You don't have to be a rocket scientist, but you should have pretty good grades in science and math. My mother is an RN (2 year degree) and she went back to college to get her 4-year degree. Since I help her with some of her school stuff (I proofread her papers because I'm an English teacher) I know you will have to write papers, take tests, and do presentations. My mother has a great knowledge of scientific words, words I certainly don't know. If your grades aren't great, you can do community college for the first two years.

Talk to your parents they might no something about it. You could look online for hospitals that are looking for people like you. Or wait til college and and get a nurse degree. P.S. I'm from Texas to!

You can go to a nursing home when you're right age and become an LPN, and when your done with high school you can go to college and try to go for a RN (Registered Nurse). Of course, make sure you can top out all of HS grades. Study good, and often. I wish you the best of luck, as we need people like you. Just get a college grant and get into a good college. Or you could start studying now, about illnesses, disorders, etc...
