How can I obtain better time management skills?

What is the best way to develop time management skills?

  • I consistently find myself pressed for time, and I always leave things till the last minute so I am extremely stressed before an assignment is due or before an exam. Is there any good ways to develop better time management skills?

  • Answer:

Your time management skill is one of the very greatest skills of your life, besides walking and talking. Time Management Skills are not so difficult to do, but they are terribly difficult to get. Not because they're difficult to learn, but because they're difficult to find. An effective time management skill requires awareness of where your time goes, and a list of what you want to fill with your time. Studying requires study time, study skills, and the motivation to keep it up until the exam. And then there are exam tips for managing those precious couple of hours. College grades and any type of student learning improve when you know how to study better, it's obvious. Wouldn't it be nice? You can improve your study habits from here forwards. You already probably know a lot of studying techniques. But the stress is mounting, and you want to be efficient. Consider your reading skill. Any good? Consider your memory, concentration and mind control. Have you tried memory software? A good memory system is really what exam preparation is all about. Student learning is done mostly for the exam. Less so for the real world application. So focus your student time management on learning a memory system. And then put it to use. My friend Nathan in the UK says in his school exams he was able to revise the entire two year science syllabus because he had everything noted into mind-maps. So it seems mind-maps are an excellent memory technique and help with student time management tremendously. I use mind-mapping software on a daily basis so this makes a lot of sense for studying and fits quite well with me. If you want to know more, I've answered your question a bit more thoroughly on my productivity blog (see source link below). I expect this might help you in some aspect Cindy and I'd really love to know if it does. Highest Regards

To develop hmm... ^-^ its more like organizing becuase management is about organizing/managing your activities. For starters i recommend a daily time schedule or some sort of dairy/memo which you carry along with you, if possible have a PDA that will help you arrange your time. I suggest putting your most important assignments first then the rest you can relax. E.g. 15:00 - 19:00 Goal: Finish 40% of geography essay 19:00 - 20:00 Goal: Eat >3< dont forget that! 20:00 - 22:00 Goal: Chit-chat with friends, watch a movie (just one movie not 3 movies at ones okay!) 22:00 SLEEP! EVERYONE NEED SLEEP! Did you know that if you sleep less it can cause stress and == that usually cause pimples and stuff especially for teens <3 and by the way im still 13yr old, do you mind getting an advie from a 13 years old?
