Whats college life like??

  • i begin college in august and id really like to know what college life is all about! does anyone have any idea?

    I found it the most exciting, eye-opening, mind blowing experience of my life. Everything you think you know will be challenged, what you don't know anything about you will discover, and what you have a passion for will be revealed. It will set you on the course of who you will become, the kind of person you want to be and give you the tools you will need to accomplish that. Of course, you can also party through school, squander the opportunity and turn a blind eye to everything you learn that challenges you to think. I know many people who did just that and regret it today. I learned so much as an undergrad that I continued educating my self through a post graduate degree. I don't believe I would have been so successful in my businesses if my experiences at the universities would not have taught me so much about the world and myself. Good luck, remember to have some fun and enjoy the challenge.

college is what you make of it. you can go out every night and get drunk and do stupid stuff and never go to class and be horrible at it. or you can get really involved and do a lot of activities and never go out. for me, it's somewhere inbetween. just go there with an open mind and definately live in the dorms your first year so you can meet a lot of people.

I graduated with a 3.33 GPA and got an Associate of Applied Science degree which only took a couple years (after wasting a year as an undecided health major). I found college to be a blast. Get involved with clubs and organizations to make it more involved though. Don't bother working, or do very little of it if you are a full time student. Get loans and scholarships/grants to live off of. You're gonna be broke, so expect that, but all in all, it was a positive experience and I miss it. Being 29, I just might head back and get another degree before I'm too old to enjoy it again. Good luck!

It just really depends on the college you will go to. Also, the other variables in the equation are endless: college, dorms vs. home residence, athletic vs bookworm, major university vs small private college, 4 yr school vs 2 yr community, freshman vs junior transfer, engineer major vs. poli sci, etc... The main thing that will determine your university life is you: who you are, what you like, who you associate yourself with, how motivated you are in your academic and social life, and most importantly your positive attitude. When choosing a school, you should hang out on the campus and s meet people. Most colleges are great in that most high school b.s. and juvenile behavior gets tossed by the wayside and people start to embrace diversity and learn to reach out to one another in the search for higher education, worldliness, and social responsibility. Other than that, it is a blast, and you should have a great time. Good luck.

College is what you make it. Mostly, it is a great experience to learn about a variety of people. It can be a lot of fun and it can be a lot of work, but if you balance the two, you'll enjoy college without failing out. The school you attend also helps to shape your college experience.

it's an extremely stressful time during which you will reaximine everything and have to make extremely serious decisions. It is not a f u ... fest, believe me.
