  Very often, the online only for-profit colleges are far more expensive than your local public colleges. You can take classes from Harvard cheaper than from many of those online, for-profit schools. Understand that almost every college in the US teaches online these days - it's not just those "as seen on TV" colleges you've heard of. And, I do mean just about every college. Your local community college and state U are probably among these. For example, in California, your premiere state U is teaching online and accounting is among the classes you can take. This isn't the easy way to go. Instead it offers convenience of location. I can study with those professors while I'm in SC.
