What is a cumulative GPA?

I have a 3.1 cumulative GPA and I have a current GPA of 3.57. What will my cumulative go up to?

  • I'm a junior in High School and I didn't try my hardest until this year. I got mostly B's until this year and now I have mostly A's. My current GPA is just over 3.1 (3.13, if you want the exact.) and my GPA is now at 3.57. If I keep my grades up like this, how much could it bring my cumulative up at the end of this year? Thank you! :)

  • Answer:

Well, I can't be completely accurate without knowing the exact number of credits you have. Ballpark guess is : (0.67 x 3.13) + (0.33 x 3.57) = (2.10 + 1.18) = 3.28 The reasoning behind the 0.67 and the 0.33 is this: You have a GPA based on your first two years of h.s., and you are just about to complete your third year. So the 3.13 GPA gets a (2/3) weight (0.67). and the current GPA, 3.57, gets a (1/3) weight (0.33) .
