What's more important: GPA or reputation?

Whats you GPA?!!?

  • My GPA is a 4.2 (because I take honors and have straight a's)...Is it possible to go up as high as a 5.0?!!! And of course whats your GPA?!!

Colleges ask for unweighted GPA, so 4.0 is the highest you can get. Every high school weights classes differently, so we can't tell you if you can get a 5.0, 6,0, etc - that's why colleges have you turn in your grades using a specific system. If you got a B in an AP class, it says 'B' on your transcript, no matter what your school calls it. I've always had about a 3.7, from high school to grad school.

I'd think that your 4.2 is probablly the highest GPA one can get, seeing in that most schools peak at a 4.0 GPA. Honestly by GPA was a 2.8 your average just above c grade student.

in my school the highest you can get is 4.0 (they don't give extra points for APS and honors classes) and i have a 3.8 (overall 4 years of highschool)
